won Amateur Junior Road Champs of Australia,
was holder of both 100 & 50 mile Amateur junior Road Records,

Tragically on Jan 20th 1925 was hit by a van when riding home from work
 and died 24hrs later. Aged 17 years.

  most notably as President of CCC,
died when his bike was hit by a ute near Geelong

 he had ridden in Europe for several seasons,
 won a stage of the Tour of Tasmania
 and also rode in the Herald Sun Tour.
